Sales Geek Scotland’s Expo at Barclays Hampden will highlight paths to delivering a more prosperous society
Successful, proven, Scottish entrepreneurs will inspire businessfolk in forthcoming get-together of ambitious Scottish businesses.
Sales Geek Scotland will feature two major successful entrepreneurial keynote speakers at its all-day Scottish Growth Expo 2026, on Tuesday 26 May 2026 at Barclays Hampden, Glasgow.

Sales Geek Scotland, the country’s leading platform for sales-led growth, commercial capability and the scaling-up of home-grown businesses to international presence, will host the Scottish Growth Expo, which, once again, will unite hundreds of founders, senior leaders and sales professionals for a full day of sales training, insight, connection and collaboration.
The event will feature keynote sessions from Stirling-based Brian Williamson, proven entrepreneur, investor and business leader, who will speak on Entrepreneurialism – What It Actually Means: Real Growth Stories, and Borders-based Russell Dalgliesh, Chair of the Scottish Business Network (SBN), who will speak on Community, Collaboration & Connection – Driving Growth Beyond Borders.
Brian’s session, drawing on more than four decades of developing high‑growth companies to successful outcomes, will explore the reality of building, leading and scaling businesses, and a perspective on resilience, pressure, imposter syndrome and leadership under uncertainty, with practical lessons for business owners and sales leaders navigating growth in challenging conditions. He said:
“I want to pass on some of the things I’ve learned after 40 years in business including the understanding that the hardest part of building a business isn’t the strategy, it’s dealing with yourself when things aren’t going to plan.”
Next up, Russell will challenge the idea that growth happens behind a desk, sharing how relationships, networks and global connection fuel modern sales growth, innovation and opportunity.
Drawing on his experience connecting Scottish business leaders across more than 70 countries, and speaking at global events from New York to Singapore, his session will focus on how collaboration across communities, industries and government can accelerate commercial success.
Said Russell: “As we adopt AI-enabled technologies the importance of human connection will become more important. I look forward to exploring this theme in my talk at what promises to be an exciting day at Hampden.”
Together, their sessions will reinforce Scottish Growth Expo’s core focus on sales leadership, mindset, relationship-driven growth and scalable commercial performance.
Both accomplished businesspeople will later join a panel which will discuss:
- AI & Technology in Modern Business and Sales
- Culture, Values and Performance in Modern Organisations
A Scotland-wide showcase for sales-driven growth, and building on the success of last year’s sold‑out Scottish Growth Seminar, the event s footprint will combine:
- High‑impact keynote sessions
- Practical sales training and expert‑led seminars
- A vibrant exhibition marketplace
- Facilitated networking designed to create real commercial outcome
Hosted within Hampden’s main exhibition space, the Expo will also feature scores of exhibitors connecting directly with organisations actively seeking sales support, growth partners, technology, funding and professional services to accelerate performance.
Davie Sneddon, Director of Sales Geek Scotland, said: “Scottish Growth Expo is about practical growth. Sales remains the biggest lever organisations can pull, and yet so often it is where businesses feel least supported.
“By bringing together world‑class speakers, hands‑on sales training and a powerful network of ambitious leaders, this event creates the conditions for real commercial momentum.”
Sales Geek Scotland director, Peter Barclay, added: “What we consistently see is that when sales leaders, founders and support organisations collaborate openly, performance improves.
“This Expo brings together mindset, capability and connection, and the imparted wisdom of keynote speakers like Brian Williamson and Russell Dalgliesh significantly raises the bar for 2026.”
